Home Electrification and Appliance Rebates (HEAR)

Home Electrification and Appliance Rebates (HEAR) is designed to help households in North Carolina install new efficient electric equipment and supporting upgrades, such as an electrical panel, wiring, or insulation and air sealing, while receiving an instant discount at the time of installation. These upgrades can help lower your monthly utility bills while improving the comfort and safety of your home. Superior Heating and Cooling can install these improvements so you qualify for the HEAR program.


Maximum project rebates are based on income level and all rebates are for those with household income up to 150% of the Area Median Income (AMI).


The types of upgrades include ENERGY STAR-certified heat pumps and other appliances, as well as electrical panel and wiring upgrades.

Homeowners Managing Efficiency Savings (HOMES)

Are you a homeowner or renter in North Carolina? Through Homeowners Managing Efficiency Savings (HOMES), eligible North Carolina residents can get financial help for energy efficiency upgrades.


To qualify, you’ll need to:

  • Confirm your income. Rebates depend on household income and estimated energy savings.
  • Get a free home assessment
  • Apply for your rebate


Once your income is verified, Superior Heating and Cooling will install eligible upgrades and submit your rebate application for you.
